Army sends 140 IPOB members to prison custody In Enugu Over rally

The Nigerian army has remanded 140 members of the Indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB, in Enugu prisons.

IPOB members including youth, elderly women and men were arrested at Ibegwa Nike military checkpoint in Enugu on May 22, 2019, during a peaceful demonstration for their proposed “Sit at Home” on May 30.

VIEW REPORT reported yesterday that, at the time of the arrest, an insider revealed that the soldiers, after registering their personal data, also took photographs of the Biafra flags as an exhibit against them.

The Nigerian military had declared war on IPOB members who are agitating for an independent state called Biafra.
