
Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, has disclosed that Nigerians have the right to believe that the president’s private visit to the United Kingdom is a medical visit. The presidential aide stated this while speaking on a popular programme on Channels Television tagged Politics Today.
In
his statement “Those who want to interpret everything, those who want
to believe all things should just believe that it is a private trip.
“When a man goes on a private trip, he has the right to use his time the way he deems because he has the right to private time.
“So those who want to believe it’s a medical trip, they have the right to believe, if it pleases them and makes them happier,”
Adesina
stated that President Buhari is yet to travel out of the country after a
strenuous electioneering period that involved campaign and other
activities.
“President Buhari has since the last weekend in December when he
launched the presidential campaign, all through till February he was on
campaign stuff around the country.
“Elections
came and a lot of people expected that immediately after the elections,
he will travel out to rest or attend to his health, but we see two
months after the elections, the President was working vigorously,” he
added.
According to information released by the Presidency President
Muhammadu Buhari will spend 10 days in the United Kingdom and will
return back to the country on May 5.
“He
is expected to commission developmental projects especially in the
sectors of education, healthcare, and roads,” Adesina stated
He further disclosed that at the end of the President’s visit to
Maiduguri, he will be proceeding to the United Kingdom on a private
visit.
“He is expected to return to Nigeria on May 5, 2019” Adesina stressed.

by President Muhammadu Buhari to Lagos Wednesday where he commissioned a
number of projects executed by the State Government, the President is
scheduled to depart for Maiduguri, the Borno State capital for another
official visit Thursday.
He is expected to commission developmental projects especially in the sectors of education, healthcare and roads.
At the end of the visit, President Buhari will be proceeding to the
United Kingdom on a private visit. He is expected to return to Nigeria
on May 5, 2019.
