The painful news reaching us that a young lady who was on the verge of getting her dreams fulfilled met an untimely end and this has brought deep sorrow to her family, friends and colleagues in pains.
According to reports, the deceased
identified as Agomie Ummie Mimie, a Mass Communications graduate of the
Amadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, went to the journey of no
return just barely 24hours to be officially enrolled into the National
Youth Service Scheme which was slated to begin today 28th March.
She lost her life, today, in a fatal auto crash, while on her way to Kaduna from Zaria.
Sadly, another case was reported recently about an NYSC member who
was killed by cultists in Bayelsa. Cultists have been terrorizing
residents at will in the city under circumstances that seem to be
uncontainable by the police and other security agencies.
It was gathered that all efforts by the men of the Nigerian Police
and the medical personnel at the hospital to save the life of the second
corps member was unsuccessful, as he died while receiving treatment.
