SERIOUS DANGER! PDP Confesses That There Is A Fresh Powerful Plot To Deny Gov. Wike Victory Using Federal Power, See Details

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has made a strong allegation on how the victory of Governor Nyesom Wike in the governorship election is facing a fresh threat.

The
party alleged that the minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, is
planning to influence the supreme court to overturn its earlier
judgement in which it disqualified the All Progressives Congress APC,
from participating in the general election in Rivers state.

According
to Information Nigeria,Kola Ologbondiyan, PDP national publicity
secretary, while speaking with journalists in Abuja on Sunday, said
Amaechi plans to get the supreme court to order fresh governorship
election in the state. According to the PDP spokesperson, if that ever happens then it will be recorded as the “highest travesty of justice, apart from being a direct abuse of court process.”

He
said “the PDP has information of how Rotimi Amaechi has been going
around in Rivers State, giving assurances that he has the ears of the
supreme court under the leadership of Acting CJN, Justice Tanko
Mohammed, and that the supreme court will reverse its final judgment on
APC primaries and create the way for fresh elections in Rivers state, in
which the APC will be allowed to participate.

“Rotimi
Amaechi goes about boasting that the apex court in the land, the
supreme court, will reverse itself and declare for fresh conduct of all
the elections in Rivers State.”

“This is completely reprehensible and unthinkable in our democratic process. The
supreme court is the highest temple of justice in our country and as
such must protect itself from all forms of manipulative tendencies of
the APC.”

In
another development, the All Progressives Congress (APC) made a
surprising disclosure on of its decision on the Rivers State
governorship election which was won by the PDP. The
APC said it won’t join the African Action Congress (AAC) to protest the
second term victory of Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, in the just concluded gubernatorial election in the state.

APC’s
National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, made this known
during the weekend while fielding questions from reporters in Abuja,
Daily Post reports. He
noted that although some local government area results were
questionable, the APC would not challenge them at the Election Tribunal
because the party had nothing to do with the polls.

Issa-Onilu
said: “It is not true that APC felt hurt over PDP’s victory. We don’t
have anything to do with the Rivers State election. APC didn’t have
candidates in the election and that is why, from the beginning, we
didn’t throw ourselves so much into it.

“You knew that the Supreme Court ruled that we were not qualified to contest. So,
on that basis, whatever what happened in Rivers, whether at the local
government that gave 80,000 votes during the presidential election and suddenly produced 320,000 votes for Wike during governorship election didn’t hurt us in any way.

“If
INEC says that was correct, fine; it is up to the parties involved to
take action if they find it necessary but for us at APC, we didn’t have
the opportunity to contest unfairly in Rivers State,” he said.

Recall
that the APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole had earlier disowned
the alliance between the party’s faction in Rivers State led by Minister
of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, and the AAC, to unseat the incumbent
Governor Wike of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

This
means that the PDP and Wike have reasons to celebrate their victory
bearing in mind that the legal battles they have to fight in defense of
their victory have reduced.
