“Our Leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been making serious moves to restore Biafra in our life time which most enemies of Biafra do not know.
However, Kanu in a statement through his twitter handle obtained by ORIENTAL TIMES said, “My appreciation to a very gracious host, dear brothers and friends of Biafra, the Chief Rabbi of Munich and Greater Bayern Shmeuel Brodmann, for a wonderful dinner and amazing evening with the family,God bless Biafra,God bless Israel.”

Boko Haram insurgent has fast become a threat to the national security in Nigeria, with the constant attack on villages, towns, state leaving millions homeless and increasing the number of the internally displaced persons (IDP) across the northern region of the federation.
In a report according to Cable news, the Governor of Zamafara State, Governor Yari disclosed that banditry insurgent attack on the state has claimed the life of over 3000 people in five years.
This was made known on the 9th of April in a town hall in Gusau, the capital of the state, represented by Yari, who was represented by Abdullahi Shinkafi, secretary to the state government (SSG), also said “nearly 500 villages” have been destroyed by the attackers.
He added that “over 13,000 hectares of farmlands were either destroyed or made useless as farmers can no longer use the lands for farming”. “Nearly 500 villages have also been devastated and 8,219 persons were injured, some are still in critical condition,” he said.
“The economy of the state has seriously suffered because thousands of shops were destroyed by the rampaging bandits who had displaced thousands of our people from their places of abode, many of whom cannot sleep with their two eyes closed because of fear.”
With the incessant killings by the uprising insurgent in the nation, a member of the Presidential Committee on the North East Initiative (PCNI), Dr Sidi Ali Mohammed in a report by Sahara reporters revealed that the Boko Haram member receives a daily an earning of $3000 while the Nigeria Army earns N1000.
He made this known at the Presentation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Sub-Sahara Africa’s Economic Outlook Report, in Abuja on Monday.
According to him, the money earned by the Boko Haram fighter made the earning of the Nigeria army very ridiculous considering the enormous margin.
Proposing what could be done to curtail the uprising insurgence of the Boko Haram, Mohammed proposes to the federal government to possibly seek amnesty as a way out. According to him, he revealed that the technicality of the Boko Haram fighter revealed that their weaponry is better than that of the Nigeria soldiers, hence he seeks that there is need to think out of the box.
In proposing a possible solution Mohammed request that maybe the federal government would consider amnesty as a way out as conventional warfighting scheme might not be able to curb the uprising Boko Haram insurgent in the nation.
In his words; “I will give you an example. The Nigerian military, for example, gets N1, 000 per day for being in the North East, at the war front, like an allowance,” he said.
“The same North-East, where if you are a member of Boko Haram you get $3,000 per day as allowance. So it is lucrative. Sometimes, they even give you money upfront. So we must do something about the youth from where they are recruiting.”
On how to curb the menace of insurgency spreading across the country, particularly in the North-East, Mohammed said amnesty shouldn’t be ruled out if it would guarantee the desired peace.
“If it is amnesty that will guarantee that peace, then we have to think of it,” he said.
It would be recalled that the Yar’Adua administration used the same medium, amnesty to bring peace to the Niger Delta militant.

Meanwhile, some security agents were seen trying to ensure orderliness and the evacuation of the dead ones.

He took to Twitter on Tuesday to thank Brodman whom he referred to as “friend of Biafra”.
“My appreciation to a very gracious host, dear brother and friend of Biafra, the Chief Rabbi of Munich and Greater Bayern, Shmuel Brodman, for a wonderful dinner and amazing evening with the family. God bless Biafra, God bless Israel”, Kanu tweeted.
reports that Kanu is in Munich, Germany where he addressed members of IPOB in a town hall meeting which held on Saturday, April 27.
Meanwhile, Kanu is leading a group seeking secession from Nigeria. The group has since been proscribed by the Nigerian government.
A member of the Presidential Committee on the North East Initiative (PCNI), Dr. Sidi Ali Mohammed, has disclosed that Boko Haram members receive as much as $3,000 daily which he claims serves as payment for carrying out terrorist attacks in the North-East since 2014.
Mohammed made this disclosure at the Presentation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Sub-Sahara Africa’s Economic Outlook Report, in Abuja on Monday April 29th.
According to Mohammed, the payment makes the N1,000 daily allowance paid to Nigerian troops at the war front ridiculous.
“I will give you an example. The Nigerian military for example, gets N1, 000 per day for being in the North East, at the war front, as an allowance. The same North-East, where if you are a member of Boko Haram you get $3,000 per day as allowance. So it is lucrative. Sometimes, they even give you money upfront. So we must do something about the youth from where they are recruiting.” he said
Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has taken to his Twitter page to hit hard on French President Emmanuel Macron, for saying “the real problem of Africa is lack of civilisation: how can one woman give birth to 6, 7 or 8 children?”.
Thebiafrastar reporters understands that Macron said this when he was speaking with an Ivorian journalist on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Hamburg, Germany. Macron said, “The problems Africa face today are completely different … and are ‘civilisational’.
“What are the problems? Failed states, complex democratic transitions and extremely difficult demographic transitions.
“It’s by a more rigorous governance, a fight against corruption, a fight for good governance, a successful demographic transition when countries today have seven or eight children per woman.
“At the moment, spending billions of euros outright would stablise nothing. So the transformation plan that we have to conduct together must be developed according to African interests by and with African leaders.”
Reacting to the two-year-old comment in a tweet on Monday, Fani-Kayode urged Macron to leave Africa alone.
“President Emmanuel Macron of France said “the real problem of Africa is lack of civilisation: how can one woman give birth to 6, 7 or 8 children?”Is civilisation sleeping with your teacher at 15 and then marrying her even though she looks like your grandmother. Leave Africa alone! And for those ignorant, self-hating Africans that are prepared to condone his “lack of civilisation” insult and even commend him for it I say shame on you!”
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Nigeria’s electoral umpire, has called for decisive actions against electoral offenders in the country.
Naija News reports that the Chairman of INEC, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, made this known at the Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room Stakeholders’ Forum on Future of Elections in Nigeria, organised by a Coalition of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
This online news platform understands that the INEC Chairman was represented by Mr Festus Okoye, INEC’s National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee
At the meeting, Yakubu said the commission was in full support of the establishment of Electoral Offences Commission to punish offenders.
His words: “It is time to take decisive action to break the cycle of impunity through the promulgation of an Electoral Offences Commission/Tribunal to handle matters relating to electoral offences.
“The commission has made it clear that it lacks the capacity and wherewithal to continue the prosecution of electoral offenders.
“And it is for this reason that the commission supports and will continue to support the creation of an Electoral Offences Commission/Tribunal to process, arrest, investigate and prosecute electoral offenders,’’ he said.
He said that INEC was set to design strategies to checkmate the act of vote buying and selling.
Yakubu said that vote buying and vote selling did not only undermine the cardinal democratic principles of representation, accountability and participation but compromised the inalienable rights of voters to free choice.
The INEC Chairman said the commission redesigned the entire environment where polling units were located to ensure that vote buyers did not gain access to the voters and compromise the secrecy of the votes in the 2019 elections.
Yakubu said that the more the commission tried to put in measures to ensure that the secrecy of the votes was not compromised, some of the politicians also designed new methods of compromising the secrecy of the votes.
“So I believe that both the civil society groups and organisations, the media, the security agencies and all the critical stakeholders must work in synergy to make sure that the secrecy of the vote is protected at all times.
“I believe that guaranteeing the secrecy of the vote and making sure that the votes count is not only the function of INEC but it involves all the critical stakeholders in the election process.’’
On the other hand, convener of Situation Room, Mr Clement Nwankwo, said the 2019 elections came with a lot of irregularities and raised questions that CSOs needed answers to, such as the postponement of elections few hours to polls.
Nwankwo said there were situations where election officials were left fearing for their lives and being threatened or in most cases brutalised by the military.
According to him, in most cases, the nature of voter suppression deliberately disenfranchises many voters.
Nwankwo said that with the elections, having gone the way they did, it was a good opportunity for the electorate to begin to ask questions, not to blame people but talk about people taking responsibility for some failures.
“On the part of civil society, yes we must take responsibility for not finding a mechanism of investigating and reporting on the assurances that INEC was giving to us so; we were all caught napping.
“On the part of INEC, I think there is a huge important need for it to take responsibility for failures that are very manifest and blatant and unacceptable.
“And one of those failures is the nature, quality and character of the voter register that we have in Nigeria today.
“We did have a situation where INEC reported a voter register of about 84 million and then suddenly this decreased just before the elections.
“And then there were discrepancies regarding the numbers that were actually supposed to be on the voter register.’’
The Situation Room convener said Nigeria could not afford to continue in the light of that direction.
Nwankwo said there was an important need for reflections on what needed to be done to pull the nation back from the depth into which it had sunk and to save democracy.
“As citizens of the country we have a responsibility to pull this back and that is why we are asking for a review and questions as to what happened in the 2019 elections because it was not what we asked for.
What we saw in 2019 elections was not the election ns were promised and when people begin to say what is the comparison between 2015 and 2019 I must tell you that 2019 was a relapse compared to 2015.’’
He urged INEC to launch an investigation into what happened in the 2019 elections to join forces with CSOs to ask questions on what happened.
Also speaking, INEC National Commissioner, Prof. Okey Ibeanu, said the commission had logistics challenges due to the complex nature of the nation’s electoral process.
He said that for instance, ballots papers were printed in currency quality from abroad and so transportation alone was a great challenge.
Ibeanu advised that going forward, there was a need to consider the decentralisation of the electoral process for effective management.
Meanwhile, the Civil Defense, Nigeria Army, Police and the Inter-party Advisory Committee (IPAC) also attended to share their experiences.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) cried out on Monday, alerting Nigerians that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is now replacing all the servers in its Headquarters and offices in all states of the federation and Abuja, in a desperate bid to obliterate the actual Presidential election results transmitted from the polling centers across the nation.
Describing the move as completely reprehensible the party, in a statement by its spokesman, Kola Ologbodiyan, said it further exposed the culpability of INEC in the manipulation and rigging of the 2019 Presidential election.
“The PDP has been well briefed on how the INEC leadership and officials of the Buhari Presidency became jittery and resorted to the desperate measure, after they realized that the servers have information of Atiku Abubakar’s victory at the election.

“Our party also has details of how the INEC leadership and the Presidency agents procured and detailed computer experts to the commission’s offices to switch the servers, mutilate vital information in the system and attempt to erase all trails of transmitted results to the main
server.
“Moreover, our party has been informed about how the INEC leadership, several weeks after the election, used some compromised officials of the commission to manipulate voter registers in some states by ticking names of individuals who did not participate in the Presidential election, as having voted. This is with the view to using such to cover the fictitious results it wrote for the APC.
“What INEC and the Buhari Presidency do not understand is that computer software and applications leave traces, signatures as well as footmark. Forensic investigation of the system will reveal the real votes transmitted from the polling centers, which show Atiku Abubakar as the winner of the election.
“The PDP therefore insists on forensic examination of all relevant documents and equipment used for the Presidential election. Our party will continue to be at alert as we stand with Nigerians to reclaim our stolen mandate at the tribunal and no amount of manipulations by INEC will detract from this national resolve.
The controversy trailing the outcome of the presidential election appears to be far from being over as more dimensions keep surfacing.
Recall that the election was won by President Muhammadu Buhari of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC after beating Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party,PDP.
The PDP yesterday accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of replacing servers in its headquarters and state offices across the federation,The Guardian reports.
The party, in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan claimed that the replacement “is a desperate bid to obliterate the actual presidential election results transmitted from the polling centres across the nation.”
The PDP said the “reprehensible act had further exposed the culpability of INEC in the alleged manipulation and rigging of the 2019 presidential election.”
The spokesman claimed: “The PDP has been well briefed on how the INEC leadership and officials of the Buhari presidency became jittery and resorted to the desperate measure after they realised that the servers have information of Atiku Abubakar’s victory at the polls.
“Our party also has details of how the INEC leadership and the presidency agents procured and detailed computer experts to the commission’s offices to switch the servers, mutilate vital information in the system and attempt to erase all trails of transmitted results to the main server.
“What INEC and the Buhari presidency do not understand is that computer software and applications leave traces, signatures as well as footmarks. Forensic investigation of the system will reveal the real votes transmitted from the polling centres which show Atiku Abubakar as the winner of the election.”
The party said it would insist on forensic examination of all relevant documents and equipment used for the exercise. “Our party will continue to be at alert as we stand with Nigerians to reclaim our stolen mandate at the tribunal and no amount of manipulations by INEC will distract from this national resolve,” Ologbondiyan added.
However, the electoral umpire reacted to the claim made by the PDP. INEC described the allegation as baseless and untrue.
Chief Press Secretary to the INEC Chairman, Rotimi Oyekanmi, in a terse statement said the commission would not trade words with the party on the matter since it was already before the court. The response reads: “The allegation is baseless and uncalled for. The commission has maintained that it will not join issues with the PDP in the media on a petition that the party had already filed in court, in respect of the 2019 presidential election.
“Rather than issuing press statements and addressing press conferences on the same petition on a daily basis, the PDP should allow the legal process to run its full course.”
The PDP had filed a suit challenging the victory of President Buhari and APC in the election. Since then, there have been controversies, claims and counter-claims over the election even as the court is yet to give its verdict on the matter.
